On Earth Day and The Great Mother

I have been saying, for a lot of years, that we humans need to welcome the initiation of maturity in our relationship to Creaturehood. We have, too long, related as children to the Great Mother. And, like many children, we forget that every living experience we have is because of Her, but for one day a year.

Growing up would mean we could fully step into the journey of co-creators, kin, family, council, lovers unto Her. This could be the way of being, rather than relegated to the radical hippie fringe.

This Earth Day , consider your relationship to The Goddess, and whether you can meet her in kinship, as a sovereign adult. Consider shaking off the sleep of the child while wild places become meals to feed our voracious appetite for material things. We have much more benevolent uses for our power if we wield it in kinship.
