## About

I am Dawn Dancing Otter, an educator, ceremonialist, writer, dancer, doctoral scholar, mentor of Irish rites, griefwork, and pathways of belonging as a diasporic Irish descendant. I support people who are ready to explore rites of passage, somatic griefwork, and sociospiritual alchemy with depth and integrity. My approach is evidence-based, culturally grounded, and shaped by research, lived experience, oral tradition, and a deep relationship to the Earth.

## FAQ

### What are rites of passage?

Rites of passage are meaningful ritual ceremonial practices that help people acknowledge. Reclaim, and and move through significant transitions in life. They can create space for reflection, community, grief, intention, and belonging.

### What can ceremonial work offer?

Ceremonial work can provide containment for acknowledging change, honouring relationships, and connecting personal experience with cultural or ancestral meaning. A skilled facilitator helps create a respectful process while leaving room for each person's own understanding.

### How can grief work support someone?

Grief work offers space to acknowledge loss rather than rushing past it or treating it as something to solve. Guided practices may help people express difficult feelings, listen to the body, and find ways to carry change with greater awareness.

### Do I need to follow a particular spiritual tradition?

People approach this work from many different backgrounds, including spiritual, cultural, secular, and questioning perspectives. A responsible professional explains the framework clearly and works with care for each person's beliefs, boundaries, and relationship to tradition.

### Why work with a professional for this kind of support?

A professional can offer structure, attentive guidance, and a considered setting for experiences that may feel complex or emotionally significant. Choosing someone whose approach feels respectful and aligned can help you engage with the work thoughtfully and safely.
